BK Miller began in 1913 as a general store in Clinton, Maryland, founded by Blossie Kueberth Miller. After Blossie’s passing in 1965, Thomas and his cousin Bunny took over the supermarket, expanding both its retail and wholesale operations, and incorporating Thomas' trucking venture.
Following Thomas' death, David, Mark, Kim, and their cousin Blaise Miller took charge, eventually splitting the business into two entities: BK Miller Company, the wholesale division owned by David, and BK Miller Meats & Liquors, a Super Liquor and Meats store in Clinton, Maryland, owned by Blaise
Now in its fourth generation of leadership, the business exemplifies the resilience and determination of independently owned family enterprises, continuing to advocate for the rights of small businesses to compete in the marketplace.
Since 1932, Saval Foodservice has been serving Mid-Atlantic restaurants from Philadelphia to Roanoke.
