Saval Foodservice, a family-owned leader in food distribution, is seeking a Fresh Poultry and Seafood Purchaser to join our team. This in-person role is vital to ensuring our customers receive the highest quality products at competitive prices.

Tech-Savvy: Proficient with inventory management software, spreadsheets, and analytics tools.
Strong Analytical Skills: Comfortable with numbers, pricing calculations, and market analysis.
In-Person Role: This position requires daily presence at our headquarters in Elkridge, Maryland.

Inventory Management: Replenish inventory and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
Market Expertise: Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and availability of fresh poultry and seafood.
Supplier Relations: Negotiate supplier programs, build strong vendor relationships, and secure the best possible terms.
Source, Evaluate and Purchase products
Responsible for reviewing purchase orders and timely deliveries
Work with suppliers to resolve product and service related issues
RFP Execution: Develop and execute Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to evaluate and select suppliers.
Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze purchasing trends and sales data to make informed procurement decisions.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align purchasing strategies with company goals.
