Maryland business sends donation funds to Houston restaurants

October 25, 2017 – Houston, TX: Jake’s Finer Foods announced today that Saval Foodservice, a broad
line foodservice distributor in Elkridge, MD, has donated more than $14,000 to help Houston-area
restaurants impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Saval Foodservice employees, along with several Saval Foodservice restaurant customers, organized and
led fundraisers that ultimately generated the donations. Jake’s Finer Foods worked in partnership with
Saval Foodservice in distributing the donations to some of its hardest-hit restaurant customers in the
greater Houston area.

“For more than 70 years, the city of Houston has supported us,” commented Michael Bench, Jake’s Finer
Foods President. “It is a blessing and opportunity to give back, and we are especially appreciative of
Saval Foodservice’s work to support the ongoing recovery in this great city.”
