National Price of Gasoline.
The latest national price of gasoline rose $0.014 compared with the previous week, and the current price is $0.203 less than it was a year ago, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. The national price of diesel rose $0.013 compared with the previous week, and is $0.141 less than last year’s figure.

Based on IFDA’s formula that a penny increase in the price of fuel translates into $1 million of additional expenses for the entire industry, this week distributors are paying $1.4 million more for gasoline and $1.3 million more for diesel than last week.
