Saval Foodservice again participated in the CAPITAL FOOD FIGHT in Washington, DC this year. The event took place in the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center on 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, DC. Many from Saval Foodservice attended this exciting event. Chef Bryan Bernstein, Marketing Manager at Saval is involved with setting and organizing the stage for the various competitions each year. Over 75 of the Washington area’s greatest restaurants will offer tastes of their best dishes for Capital Food Fight guests. Admission includes tastes at every booth — no one-taste-per-ticket system like many other food events! (So you can even go back for seconds.)

img_20161110_182615189Two live battles take place at DC Central Kitchen’s Capital Food Fight. On the main stage, four local chefs compete in an Iron Chef-style battle going to head-to-head with a secret ingredient. On the ballroom stage, four teams of pastry chefs build towering cakes in the High Stakes Cakes competition. Both battles are judged by culinary celebrities.
