Appetite for canned meat also jumped, up nearly 123% for the week ending March 28 from a year ago, and up 157% for the four weeks ending March 28.

Demand for processed meat climbed 54% during the week, following an 127% jump for the week ending March 21. The demand for fresh meat increased 53% during the week ending March 28 from the year-earlier week, after a 100% jump for the week ending Mach 21.
