There are over 3,000 hungry homeless children in Baltimore City schools who have little or no food each and every weekend! Saval Foodservice is proud to support

WEEKEND BACKPACKS FOR HOMELESS KIDS “FOR OUR KIDS” FUNDRAISING GALA!

Saval Foodservice, the largest locally-based broad line food distributor in Maryland is proud to support the 3rd annual “For Our Kids” event to benefit Weekend Backpacks for Homeless Kids will be held Monday November 4th, 2019 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Woodholme Country Club in Pikesville. Weekend Backpacks for Homeless Kids is an organization that provides backpacks containing healthy food for the weekend, and holidays, to homeless children and their families –EVERY weekend of the school year. Every Friday these children receive nutritious foods at the end of the school day. They now serve 20 Baltimore City schools and all proceeds from the event benefit this unique Baltimore program.

The Fundraising Gala is a chefs’ event featuring local restaurants and caterers showcasing appetizers, entrees, desserts and beverages. Our own Chef Ken Plante, a native of Baltimore, has over 30 years of culinary experience and will be featuring delicious deli recipes and sharing other trends and tips with the attendees.
